About
I am a second-year PhD student at the University of Bath studying children's education in Rwanda. I will be in Rwanda until November 2012.
My postgraduate training includes degrees in public health and social work. Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I worked as a research coordinator where have done research on issues affecting children in a wide range of contexts such as HIV/AIDS affected youth in urban Boston, migrant children and their families in Delhi, and the commercial exploitation of children in the Philippines. I have also worked as a consultant on child-focused initiatives for the World Health Organization, Harvard University, and Boston University School of Medicine. I have authored and co-authored publications in several journals including Child Development, Child Abuse and Neglect, New England Journal of Medicine, Health and Human Rights, and Social Science and Medicine.
I grew up on the West coast of the USA before moving East to pursue postgraduate work and study. I am obsessed with professional basketball, filter coffee, and technology.
Hoping to connect with people who share my research interests, particularly in relation to education, development, social mobility, and Rwanda.
